In the ever-evolving world of street art, few personas capture the spirit of playful rebellion quite like Goldloxe. Inspired by the Goldilocks Principle – the idea that life thrives in conditions that are “just right”, Goldloxe brings this concept to the streets with a unique blend of curiosity, mischief, and thoughtful placement.
Whether she’s pasting up in an alleyway, seeking out the perfect wall that calls for a splash of colour, or exploring the possibilities of digital art, Goldloxe’s work is rooted in the same principle that sparked her fascination: the improbability and beauty of getting it “just right.”
In this conversation, we explore how the Goldilocks Principle shapes her creative process, the personality of Goldloxe as a character, her thoughts on the intersection of street art and NFTs, and what keeps her inspired as she continues to leave her mark on cities and screens alike.

Your persona 'Goldloxe' is inspired by the Goldilocks Principle. Can you explain what this principle means to you?
When I first heard about the fact that scientists use the term the Goldlocks zone I got obsessed. Fascinated that our planet sits just the right distance from the sun to sustain all life on earth - any closer it would be too hot, any further away too cold. Like the porridge! I’m not very scientific, but even I can understand that. For me it’s about the sheer improbability of just existing at all - and when you can remind yourself of that, it can help when life gets hard.
How does the concept of "just right" influence your creative decisions or choice of street locations?
The great thing about being a street artist and living in a city, is as you are walking around you are constantly thinking about places to put your art. Sometimes it’s really quick and instinctive, I'll just go out and find spots in the moment - other times I’ll see the colour of a wall or the shape of a door, or another artist’s work and I’ll create a piece for that specific spot. Either way, once pasted up, it’s like it was always meant to be there - so Just Right!
Do you see Goldloxe as a character you're embodying, or as a separate entity entirely?
Oh, I definitely see her as separate - when I first started what I loved about it, was she was very cutesy and really stood out amongst the other street art that time but she also has a deviant cheeky side and like the character in the book, she takes the piss a bit and trespasses in places she shouldn’t be - and I can relate to a lot of that!

What else is exciting you right now.
Even though I am not very technical, I have an obsession with digital art - owning and creating art on the block chain. Everyone hates the word NFT, but there is something really cool about digital things being one off originals. Like street art, it‘s permissionless. I’m still playing around in the space, fashion has always been a major love, and the idea of one-off unique digital fashion is super interesting to me…when I die and have my avatar uploaded to the internet I want to make sure that can I wear some cool shit!
Which other artists are you influenced by and why?
Growing up in Northern Ireland, I was always intrigued by the street art and murals. I’ve always had a fascination about who is behind the art I see on the street so here is a shout out to some of the many talented street artists that I have come to know and some, befriended. They continue to inspire me, I won’t have managed to name everyone but they include @d7606, @soldoutartshow, @tinyhandsbigheart @hissxx @sacsix @madvaillan @drecks_ @sinclairthevandal @c_3 @cheerupofficial @gloopy_goblin @aicmosaic @saralynne.leo @saviorelmundo @she.posse @citykittystreet @ewwgrossokfine @backup_eyeliner @littlericky001 @tbanbox @tradesonlybro @mort_art @billy.barnacles @eye.sticker @theohiogirl @degrupo @smetskyart @t0a5t0r0 @optimonnyc
@ajlavilla @individualactivist., and @badsandynyc. It’s so fun to go out pasting and see new stuff from some of these legends.
One final question from my six-year-old boy: Which planet would you like to visit and why?
Apparently scientist have identified 38 other planets that are also in the Goldilocks zone, where life might be possible, this out of hundreds of billions of planets out there! I’d maybe like to visit one of those, only problem is it probably has a crap name like XZ77521. So I’ll also say Jupiter!
